Based on the World Wide Web, and developed with OpenSource technology, the e-MicroCredit Management System (e-MMS) integrates personnel management, the portfolio of clients, loans, and impact evaluation; all in an intuitive and friendly manner.
e-MMS is able to generate reports with data sheets and graphics consolidating the information according to diverse criteria, to facilitate the evaluation of performance and for decision-making.
It provides important benefits such as:
- Accessibility from an intranet or Internet server.
- Free use of operating system and server software.
- Ample availability of Internet providers that support the system.
- User interface runs on Internet browser (eg. Firefox and MS Internet Explorer)
e-MMS is made up of modules that group related functions within specific areas, although all the modules work from the same database, this guarantees the integration and consistency of the data and operations that manage all the modules. The access to the different modules and their functions are restricted depending on the levels of access granted to the system users.
The user's interface is currently available in English and Spanish, and other languages can be added easily. Every window of e-MMS includes an excellent context-specific help file at a click of a mouse.
The main modules of the e-MMS are:
Personnel Management
Here the essential personal data of each one of the users is kept, as well as its passwords and levels of access.
Portfolio Management
Here the program or project zones are defined, also the essential personal data of each one of the clients are stored, their business activities, histories and other precise information in relationship to the link between the clients and the organization.
Loan Management
Here the credit products are defined and all the loan application, approval and payment processes, etc. are managed.
Surveys and Impact Evaluation
Permits the design and use of surveys to measure the impact of the programs. This module can be linked with others to provide detailed follow up in whatever area of interest. |
